Description

Dodgy car dealer Arthur Daley (George Cole) specialises in moving shonky merchandise to unsuspecting punters. While Terry resents this, he is also commitment shy and resists attempts to settle down often, which Arthur exploits through a thinly veiled desire for him to be independent of women.

As well as heavy use of leading British actors, other features were Arthur's constant rhyming slang and other misquoted sayings (one being "the world is your lobster" and "I had a dream"), the derelict sites used as locations, and the episode titles, which contained references to films (e.The Last Temptation of Daley', 'A Bird in the Hand', 'Him Indoors', 'The Greatest Show in Willesden', 'Too Many Crooks', 'The Odds Couple' and 'The Coach That Came in from the Cold'. We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. As the series progressed over 15 years, more emphasis was placed on the comedic aspects of the minder-principal relationship, and the show became more a comedy driven by a dramatic plot.

We previously used to have some sections where we listed box sets by the year they were released, which you can still look through: 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016. In the light of initially poor viewing figures, management at Thames were intent on scrapping the show but managing director Bryan Cowgill persuaded them to commission one further series and repeat the first. The episode The Cruel Canal from Series 8, they never put that episode with Series 8 itself, they put that episode at the end of the last disc with the bonus stuff. Dave is a childhood friend, part owner (with Arthur) and bar manager of the local, members-only Winchester Club. Also in Series 3, Arthur uses a brown Jaguar XJR in the episodes "Dead Men Do Tell Tales" and "Looking for Micky". Episodes released include interviews with George Layton, Gerard Kenny, Suzi Quatro, Karl Howman and Gennie Nevinson. It was released as a single in October 1979, credited to 'Dennis Waterman with the Dennis Waterman Band', but failed to enter the charts.
