A perfect opportunity to fix the broken world he has helped create, if not a final chance to redeem his soul, Roland King embarks on a journey to cleanse the world of evil. There are some really ALMOST moments where you could see it could have had an effective emotional hit but it zips by in such a hurry that there's little to stick. Sex, gore, and violence are not the things I mainly look for in the books I read, but I also don’t avoid a title just because those things are part of the story. I think the first time I really became aware of him as an author was when I read his Old Man Logan storyline. In King of Spies, an aged British spy/assassin is given six months to live, so he decides to take out all the villains he's ever encountered.

These aren’t from the artist we later chose for the book, but they’re so good we wanted you to see them.

It almost feels as if Millar wrote this book with the movie-going audience in mind, diving headfirst into the story and leaving everything else to fall into place on its own. He was secretly sacked and forced to endure months of electroshock in a military hospital in Florida.

REGISTER PITCH: An action/adventure story that's part spy thriller, part revenge rampage-James Bond meets John Wick. Millar, who co-created the Kingsman comic-turned-movie franchise, and the streamer announced a Millar work, King of Spies, which will be the author’s first original graphic novel. It only lost 1 star because I felt the ending was a bit abrupt and the overall story/series could've actually used maybe two more issues to make the narrative pace feel a bit less rushed. While Silva’s actions in the film are reprehensible, the context in which he commits them can be understood from his point of view.S. officials to predict the outbreak of the Korean War and whose espionage activities had a profound impact on the course of the war. Fans of Kingsman might be surprised to find a more gritty look and feel, but it gives it an edge that separates it from the pack. While it is satisfying to see corrupt officials and depraved celebrities get their due in the most gruesome manner, the story by itself lacks depth and is too straightforward to allow for political subtexts.
