Anyway he’s here and he’s unwelcome but he’s mixing shit up and making it interesting to say the least. Even the ones that aren't creative insults make me wonder if he just talks or thinks that way or if he had to work each sentence 20 ways to hell and back to get the one.

Today I’m thrilled to be sharing my thoughts on Here Lie The Secrets, the newly released title from Emma Young. But, when a second girl goes missing in similar circumstances, it isn’t just a murder investigation that Jack finds himself running. She begged ’em to let her take the children with her—didn’t have no family hereabouts t’ leave ’em with. All those missing, exploited, murdered street kids, it’s enough to rip my heart (and I suspect most readers’ hearts) into pieces. The fact that being Sebastian and Hero new parents were very disturbing for them to manage this investigation. Speaking of Shona, she hardly featured at all in this book which I felt was quite strange, same for Geoff Palmer and his team too. rolling around on each other like a couple of past their best sausages in a pan, or, I don’t know, slapping against one another like lumps of room temperature corned beef.

Most recently, he has become a father, and even though he continues to be haunted by some of the things he experienced when he was a soldier fighting on the continent, he is a much more settled individual than when we first met him, and is enjoying a passionately happy marriage with Hero, the daughter of the powerful Lord Jarvis… who just happens to be Sebastian’s deadliest enemy. I loved their contentious beginning and I've loved every step they've taken along the way to finding a mutually supportive love in each other. We could take bets on which member of Sebastian and Hero's extended family is going to be the subject of the next murder investigation. It’s a story of grief, friendship and forgiveness that is perfectly written for the young adult target market. Sebastian suffers from nightmares about the bloody war he fought and feels compelled to atone for whatever he did or whatever he thinks he could have prevented.I also recommend not reading it until you've read all of the others before it as the character development evolves to a pretty loud crescendo in this one. Because of these small kids, this is a more difficult story to read than most of the previous books in the series. And though dark, powerful forces are moving against him, Sebastian will risk his reputation and his life to keep more innocents from harm. I have enjoyed all that I have now read to date, a few were pretty gruesome, but watching Logan and the team, and even Hoon makes for some very entertaining reading.

JD Kirk lives in the Highlands of Scotland with his wife, two children, and a number of sturdy umbrellas.Flying into New York to spend the Summer with her Aunt Sadie, Mia hopes to leave her worries behind and have some fun with her friend Tamara working to make money for their road trip, but all that changes when she meets Rav. I had no idea how addictive Kirk’s books would be or that like Mayhew and Smith, Kirk publishes under three different names.

Bob Noon joins in to "assist" the team as a consultant, but with his colorful language and attitude, assist is a stretch. The "back and forth" interaction of certain characters quickly becomes tedious, juvenile, and plain stupid. From the second book, realizing that a couple of the characters are not "maturing," I gave up and skip these portions.
