Yes I would definitely recommend this Little Nipper Double pram. For me it folded really easily, without too much effort, I really liked the design, I liked that hood comes far forward keeping the sun from children’s eyes. The children looked really comfortable in this pram. The basket underneath was a good usable size. However, it would not fit in my car with the seats all up. Suitable from: Six months to 22kg (around four years) | Weight: 13.8kg | Folded dimensions: 87 x 65 x 37.5 cm | Harness type: 5-point | A djustable handlebar: Yes What we like It won’t take a full supermarket shop, but should easily contain book bags, handbags and midweek pints of milk. The Nipper also comes with a large, effective rain cover as standard, which our tester found easy to use even in the most unexpected of downpours. How safe is the buggy?

The Little Nipper's basket measures 40cm x 27cm x 15cm. It is not huge and access is a little compromised, however you will get a bag of shopping and a bit more in there if you try. The basket is made from a mesh material without solid base. I think weight will be more of a problem than volume. Why you should trust us I love our double Nipper and used it from newborn with the newborn insert. Be aware that as they are real tyres they can get punctures, so be prepared to have to fix them" - Mumsnet user, Postmanbear Out ‘n’ About are a British brand with products designed right here in the UK and the whole range is loved by parents across the country for its excellent quality and great value for money pushchairs.

How does it look?

Would I recommend the Out N About Nipper Sport V4 to parents? Absolutely. No, it’s not the smallest of buggies, it isn't compact when folded and likely won’t fit comfortably in your car boot unless you remove the front wheel first. But it’s more than fit for the purpose it was intended for and that’s running. The seat is very comfortable, so much so that my daughter falls asleep in the buggy almost every time we use it. The removable seat liner is kept in place with Velcro strips. It's also very roomy so I can rest assured that it's big enough for her to grow into over the next couple of years. As running buggies go, the Out N About Nipper Sport V4 makes a very good first impression. Athletic-looking, sleek and minimalist in design, this buggy is one you’ll be proud to run with, with three large, 16-inch wheels that only add to its striking aesthetic.

The out and about nipper is such a fab pram, I can’t rate it highly enough. I love the variety in colours you can buy and it is so easy to use, the ride is smooth a not bumpy and the chunky wheels are fab for off-riding and we live in a very hilly area. Fab design.Schedule regular breaks to make sure your little one is enjoying the ride. Don’t forget to take water to make sure you and your child stay hydrated. The Little Nipper can be bought as a single for one child or a double for two and can be used from birth to approximately 4 years old, which is also great if your toddler gets tired when they’re a little older too. From birth the seat unit has a full recline which is perfect to keep your baby comfortable and the 5 point harness offers great peace of mind that they are strapped in safe and securely. As your little one grows, the plastic footrest is extremely durable under muddy feet and can easily be wiped clean after every adventure whilst the large sun canopy will protect from all the elements come rain or shine! The one-hand recline is handy for dealing with snoozing babies mid-run and the supportive padded seat offers a smooth ride. It’s almost ready to go straight from the box as the seat comes attached to the frame but you’ll need to use a bike pump to inflate the wheels before popping them on the chassis. It’s pricey but it’s well engineered, extremely sturdy and very easy for runners and walkers to manoeuvre. Suitable from: Birth to 22kg per seat (around four years) | Weight: 12.8kg | Folded dimensions: 71 x 36 x 79 cm (excluding wheels) | Harness type: 5-point | Adjustable handlebar: Yes What we like

I find that the frame also needs to be wiped down every now and again, especially when taking the buggy off-roading. Price and competition: is the Out N About Nipper Sport V4 good value for money? I currently store the Nipper in my kitchen when not in use, however I have enough space to leave it unfolded with the wheels attached. It does also stand upright when folded for storage. Out N About Nipper Sport V4: how easy is it to clean? Weight: The lighter the overall weight of the pram, the easier it is to push, especially if you’re transporting an older child across uneven terrain. Look for a lightweight option with an aluminium frame. Shopping basket is very small so it would be good if it came with a bag hook of some kind. Tested by dad Dean Thompson for the M&B Awards 2016: One thing that would make it so much better for me was if it was just slightly smaller when its folded, I need a pram I can fit in my car, when I’ve got all my children so have all my seats up (I have a Zafira) a seven seater with a very narrow boot space when used to full capacity. Otherwise this pram is just perfect. Tested by mum Colette Molyneux for the M&B Awards 2017:As is the case with all second hand Out ‘n’ About pushchairs, the Nipper Single is constructed from a lightweight but extremely robust aluminium chassis which folds down with ease for comfortable handling and transportation. I had a double Nipper when I nannied for a toddler and took my own toddler with me. Fantastic to push around, one handed steering even when laden with the older siblings school bags and scooters" - Mumsnet user, SingingMyOwnSpecialSong Our verdict Yes, overall it’s everything I look for in a double pushchair, it was very easy to get around with it, the basket was adequate for carrying a bit of shopping. I liked the big hoods and that they were separate, so I could give the baby a lot of shade while she napped but the toddler could still have hers less shaded giving her more of a view.

Better folding mechanism would be nice, this can be quite fiddly. Tested by mum Keira-Jayne Blundell for the M&B Awards 2016: Suitable from: Six months to 22kg (around four years) | Weight: 9.8kg | Folded dimensions: 61 x 61 x 104cm | Harness type: 5-point | Adjustable handlebar: Yes What we like While most regular three-wheel buggies feature a swivel front wheel, the Out N About Nipper Sport V4 has what most running buggies have: a fixed front wheel. Admittedly, this took me a bit of getting used to during those first couple of outings, but the frame is so lightweight that the front wheel can easily be lifted off the ground when changing direction. Take it slow: It’s best to start things off slowly and gradually increase your pace as you become more comfortable with running with your child in tow. This buggy is a very good option for parents who have never used a buggy over moderate to rough terrain. There is plenty of space for your child with reclining feature too. The buggy itself seems sturdy and up to the job.

How we tested the Out N About Nipper Sport V4

Read next: The best travel systems for newborns Out N About Nipper Sport V4: how easy is it to fold? The only thing that would have put me off buying this pram is that you couldn't fit a car seat on and so you might have to wake a sleeping baby but once the child or children are passed that age it would be the best pram in my opinion. No one pram can have everything and I imagine making it big enough for a car seat may spoil some other features. Tested by mum Julie Wakeford for the M&B Awards 2017: By doing this, we whittled our longlist down and chose a selection of the best running buggies that we think offer something for everybody.
